Hello everyone and welcome to my second Blog on creating my BJD doll!
Here I drew a little picture of what I want her to look like:
Oh and I named her Alice, because Alice is a nice name. :3
Now let's get down to business :P NOW WE SHALL MOLD THE HEAD!
Sadly I don't have step by step photos, but I will talk you through what I did.
First I got a polystyrene ball that was slightly smaller than the doll's head on the blueprint, covered it in clingfilm so nothing sticks and molded the head. Then I scored a kinda skull cap shape so that when it dries I can easily pop her cap off (LOLXD)
Looks pretty evil and ick right? Well thats OKAY! You can mold and change and carve to make her look pretty ^_^ What really helped me the most was molding it and having a picture of a BJD doll's head on google there for reference.
Added more clay to make the face look less.......urgleh. She looks better now right?? D:
Sanded down and bit :3
And walla.......The head took me like 4 hours to mold and then another 3 to get it looking right ish. (WTF I'M NOT EVEN A PERFECTIONIST!! This was mentally straining and if I didn't have my music on in the background I would have thrown the head against the wall XD)

YES SEE IT IS HOLLOW. This is where the ball would have been after I recklessly scooped it out...
I was following this tutorial by Deskleaves on dA: http://deskleaves.deviantart.com/art/Ball-jointed-doll-tutorial-part-1-303710466
All the parts are there :3
